New scholarships at Cambridge Judge thanks to very generous alumnus donation

The donation pledge of £750,000 over 5 years from Dimitris Tsikopoulos (MBA 1994), CEO of Greece-based maritime technology firm Navarino, funds the Navarino CJBS Masters Studentships for outstanding candidates to attend Cambridge Judge Business School.

New Cambridge Judge scholarship for students with scientific backgrounds

The Vanessa Dekou Scholarship for Scientists will help finance a Cambridge MBA education for candidates with advanced degrees in scientific fields such as biological sciences, chemistry and physics. It is funded through a generous donation from Vanessa Dekou, a Cambridge Judge Business School alumna (MBA 2002) who has forged a successful career in entrepreneurship and biotech.

Business leaders Harry Tsao (MBA 1994) and Carol Chen donate £2 million to the School

Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to share the news that US and Taiwan-based alumnus Harry Tsao (MBA 1994) and his wife Carol Chen have made a generous £2.0 million donation to support the Business School’s Simon Sainsbury Centre, situated at the back of the Old Addenbrooke’s building.

Cambridge Judge launches student hardship fund, with donations to US$5,000 matched by an alumna

Cambridge Judge Business School has launched a student hardship fund, initially to support the current cohort of students whose time at the School has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Donations to the Cambridge Judge Student Hardship Fund will be matched one to one by Dr Angeli Weller, up to US$5,000.

In memory of Marie Taylor

On Friday 28 June 2019 the ‘Marie Taylor Room’ at Cambridge Judge Business School was officially dedicated by friends, Cambridge Judge faculty and staff, and family of the late Marie Taylor (MBA 2001). The class of 2001, as well as Marie’s family and Cambridge Judge faculty, raised over £70,000 towards the cost of the room, and the School made a further contribution of £30,000 to name the space in her honour.

Inspiration, friendship and memories

For the first time ever, in 2017, we asked our global alumni community to consider supporting a major fundraising project to help us raise the remaining £15 million in philanthropy to support our new £32 million building, the Simon Sainsbury Centre, by naming spaces, lecture theatre seats or making a general donation.

Cambridge MBA alumnus contributes to the Simon Sainsbury Centre

Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to announce that one of our own, Mr Fadi Boustany and his family, have generously given to support the development of the new Business School building expansion, the Simon Sainsbury Centre. A new lecture theatre in the building, the Fadi Boustany Lecture Theatre, has been named in his honour.

Gates Cambridge Scholars.

3 students will be joining Cambridge Judge Business School this autumn as Gates Cambridge Scholars. Aashka Tank, Sadhana Lolla and Uchechukwu Ogechulwu will start their MPhil studies at the Business School in October.

Tom-Louis Flohrer.

Focusing on sustainability, Tom-Louis Flohrer (MPhil Technology Policy 2022) will draw on his learning at Peking University to develop circular economy solutions to global climate challenges.
