Biography

Devakshi Chandra is the Managing Director of Nanofil Technologies, where she leads the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in polymer compounding. As the first woman in her family to join the family business, she brings fresh perspectives and a strong passion for fostering a greener future. Devakshi drives initiatives focused on biopolymers, recyclability and environmentally friendly materials, championing the principles of the circular economy. Under her leadership, Nanofil is expanding its global footprint with 2 new manufacturing facilities set to launch in India in 2025-2026.

Devakshi graduated summa cum laude with honours with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Babson College, USA. She holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and has completed executive education programmes at London School of Economics, IMD Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School. Her undergraduate honours thesis, Bankruptcies, Bailouts, and Buyouts: Predicting the Solvency of Financial Institutions during the 2008 Crisis, involved developing a logistic regression model tailored to predict financial institution solvency with 85% accuracy.

Recognised for her leadership, Devakshi has been featured on the cover of CEO Insights Magazine as a “Women Leader Empowering Change and Driving Sustainability in the Plastic World,” and in Insights Success Magazine as one of the “Empowering Leadership: Visionaries to Watch 2025”.

Devakshi is now pursuing a Business Doctorate at the University of Cambridge, where her research focuses specifically on women’s leadership in male-dominated industries. She aims to explore how privilege, societal norms and organisational structures affect women’s representation in senior roles. Her goal is to develop policies that promote gender equity by creating environments where women are understood and given equal opportunities to succeed.
