The Guild of Cambridge Benefactors
This was launched in 1998 to honour the generosity of major benefactors of over £1 million to the University and the Colleges. Members’ names are recorded on the Benefactors’ Staircase in the Old Schools, the historic heart of the University and are invited to the annual Guild of Benefactors dinner each year.
The V-C’s Circle
The Vice-Chancellor’s Circle was created in 2007 as part of the Cambridge 800th Anniversary Campaign to recognise and thank those donors who have given over £250,000 for key projects and programmes that underpin excellence at Cambridge. Members are invited to an annual reception at an exclusive venue.

Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to share the news that US and Taiwan-based alumnus Harry Tsao (MBA 1994) and his wife Carol Chen have made a generous £2.0 million donation to support the Business School's Simon Sainsbury Centre, situated at the back of the Old Addenbrooke's building.
Dr Angeli Weller (MBA 2001) will match donations up to US$5,000 to the newly launched Cambridge Judge Student Hardship Fund. Cambridge Judge Business School has launched a student hardship fund, initially to support the current cohort of students whose time at the School has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The Cambridge Judge Student Hardship Fund will provide flexible funding that can be combined with the investment the School is already making to help those students who need it most. Initially, donations to the Cambridge Judge Student Hardship Fund will be matched one to one by Dr Angeli Weller, up to US$5,000. "My time in Cambridge and at the School was instrumental in my growth professionally and personally, and this Cambridge MBA cohort is having such a different experience because of the coronavirus pandemic. It must be challenging for them to move to all online teaching, to lose in-person collaboration with classmates, and to miss so many of the special things about Cambridge, like time with friends at College dinners and walks to Grantchester. They're also facing unprecedented hardship as they look for new jobs or try to keep the ones they have. We finished in 2002 after the tech bubble…
On Friday 28 June 2019 the 'Marie Taylor Room' at Cambridge Judge Business School was officially dedicated by friends, Cambridge Judge faculty and staff, and family of the late Marie Taylor (MBA 2001). The meeting room, in the very centre of the brand new Simon Sainsbury Centre, is the perfect place for Marie, who embodied the values of Cambridge Judge in everything she did and was. Marie came to the School as a Sainsbury Scholar, fresh from her role as Head of HR for the disability equality charity Scope. The five annual Sainsbury scholarships were designed to allow candidates from the charitable and voluntary sectors to study for a Cambridge MBA and then take that experience back to impact their field. As her friend and classmate Max Purser reminded us at the dedication event: "The very fact she was in the room, the resilient nature of her character, her willingness to stand up and challenge at what was a formative time for many of us, developing our thinking on the type of leader we wanted to be was critical. With Marie, the scholarship's impact went well beyond its original ambition. There are 83 colleagues from Marie's 2001 class out there…
How our alumni have made an impact on the Simon Sainsbury Centre, Cambridge Judge Business School. For the first time ever, in 2017, we asked our global alumni community to consider supporting a major fundraising project to help us raise the remaining £15 million in philanthropy to support our new £32 million building, the Simon Sainsbury Centre, by naming spaces, lecture theatre seats or making a general donation. We have been excited by the remarkable outpouring of support and enthusiasm shown by our alumni and others to name seats in the new lecture theatres. This project has enabled alumni from over 30 countries around the world to play a part in this transformative milestone in the history of Cambridge Judge Business School. View a video message from Donnell Roy, Director of External Engagement Below are a selection of the stories which recount the inspiration behind the wonderful support Cambridge Judge alumni have provided. Miguel Angel Aguayo Negrete (Cambridge MBA 2012) "One of the main reasons that I decided to study for my MBA in Cambridge was to be part of history. Now I am writing the most interesting storylines of my life – the MBA made it possible for me to work in Europe…
Alumnus of the first Cambridge Judge Business School MBA class, Fadi Boustany, contributes to the new Simon Sainsbury Centre building at the Business School. Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to announce that one of our own, Mr Fadi Boustany and his family, have generously given to support the development of the new Business School building expansion, the Simon Sainsbury Centre. A new lecture theatre in the building, the Fadi Boustany Lecture Theatre, has been named in his honour. Fadi was one of the pioneers who comprised the very first Cambridge MBA cohort in 1991, back when the idea of establishing a world-leading business school in the heart of the ancient University of Cambridge was still a novel idea. He and his class of 19 students adventurously joined the new programme because, as he said: “I was convinced that the University of Cambridge would exceed expectations through the creation of a business school.” That was in 1991, and now, 27 years later, Cambridge Judge Business School has around 9,000 global alumni, multiple degree programmes, and vibrant Executive Education programmes. The new Simon Sainsbury Centre, which opened to students and Executive Education delegates in January, is central to the further transformation…
