Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship international elective

Overview

Entrepreneurship does not stop at borders. The Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship elective takes your venture thinking beyond Cambridge and into a live international ecosystem, giving you the chance to explore how entrepreneurs build, test and scale ideas in a different country and culture.

You will travel to an international innovation hub for a 3-and-a-half day experience, during which you will:

  • work with Cambridge Judge faculty and local founders, investors and ecosystem leaders to understand how policy, culture, regulation and infrastructure shape entrepreneurial opportunities
  • visit incubators, startups and innovation hubs, seeing first hand how ventures are launched and grown in a different market
  • take part in interactive workshops, group projects and cultural immersion activities, designed to stretch your thinking and challenge your assumptions about how and where innovation happens

Planning and support for the international elective

  • There will be an additional fee to undertake this elective and students should expect to cover the costs of travel, accommodation and meals.
  • To ensure the elective is as inclusive as possible, we plan it well in advance and can provide official documentation confirming your enrolment and participation in the MSt in Entrepreneurship to support your visa application where needed. However, as with attendance in Cambridge, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct immigration permission to travel to and attend the elective in the host country.
  • Students who are unable to join the trip will be able to choose from our existing portfolio of electives so that no one is academically disadvantaged.
