Who we are
At the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation we nurture research opportunities by refining our understanding of social innovation and implementing approaches to address social, cultural, economic, and environmental challenges and opportunities. A central tenet of the Centre is to bring academics and practitioners together to enhance understanding of, and the impact of social innovation. Our core aim is to facilitate meaningful real-world impact.
Our experienced team is a diverse group of dedicated and talented individuals who have published extensively on this topic. We have Social Innovation Fellows who are selected by a competitive process, so the standard of our work is extremely high.
What we do
We build best practices across business, civil society, policy, and academia for a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable world. Our world-renowned research makes our faculty thought leaders in this field.
Research
Promoting academic and industry leadership in and around social innovation. Focused on building and sharing knowledge about the most deep-rooted global social problems, we believe that ‘solutions’ to these problems reside across sectors and organisational forms. The solutions can also be found in a different kind of leadership that blurs the boundaries between what is for-profit and what is not-for-profit.
Publications
Our researchers produce a wide variety of published work. From articles and books to white papers and research summaries they focus on topics that help evolve the field of thought surrounding social innovation.
Masters in Social Innovation
Teaching is a key part of our remit: unlock your potential through the Master of Studies in Social Innovation. The two-year, academically rigorous part-time, research-based programme includes online delivery and four residential weeks.
Cambridge Social Ventures
Cambridge Social Ventures supports a wide range of ventures that have positive social and environmental impacts. Our programmes are designed for people who will drive their businesses forward to create real, lasting social or environmental change.
Our impact
Our research delivers impact to practice and policy in developed and developing economies both for our academic field and beyond.
We also make a huge impact through empowering budding entrepreneurs in their social ventures, offering training, workshops and much more.
Through our partnerships, we form collaborative relationships, which are key to our research and impact delivery.
